As Deacon David Hunt steps down from his role as Wesley Centre Team Manager we would like to say a huge thank you for all that he has achieved in his mission in the town centre, and in particular his close association with the Harrogate Homeless Project.  At the same time we look forward to welcoming Pippa (see p9) as our new team manager and wish her every success in continuing and expanding our Christian mission in Harrogate.

The Centre has been used extensively during the summer by Harrogate International Festivals, for concerts during the recent annual festival.

We, the congregation at Wesley, are delighted to see the premises being used to serve the local community.  As well as the renowned, Forward Together on Thursdays, we have in the past few months also welcomed Hannah Beck from St. Peter’s who has been  co-ordinating the provision of lunch, three Sundays each month for anyone who is interested.  There have been up to 40 people attending, including families. Everyone is welcome to share a hot, three-course meal; attendees are encouraged to help serve their fellow guests and assist in the kitchen.

Our Senior Steward, Les Sudron, would like to hear from anyone who might be interested in helping set up a group to offer support to people living with dementia.  Please contact Les on 01423 797406.
