Our annual World Mission coffee morning was held in May with cake and plant stalls and raised £340 – hard work but a good result.
The Cameo Cafe continues to open every Thursday between 2pm and 4pm. We have a small but loyal group of customers, some of whom are dedicated knitters (other activities are available!!). Up to now we have 17 scarves ready for delivery to Springboard in time for winter. We are a happy and welcoming group, and we would love to see anyone who fancies a cup of tea, home-made cake and a chat and a bit of company any Thursday afternoon.
Since last September, led by Rev Grace, we have shared Bible Studies with members from Killinghall and Bilton area. These have proved to be informative, thought-provoking and for some of us, revealing that we don’t know as much as we thought we did!!!
On Sunday 20 June, 3 of our members travelled to Coventry with friends from Killinghall and Bilton area to support Rev Grace at her Ordination. The ceremony was at the Methodist Central Hall which was filled to capacity. The service was joyful, uplifting and deeply spiritual. We felt very privileged to be there to support our Minister.
Village Voices Killinghall will entertain us again on Wednesday 25 September at 7pm. Tickets £5 to include refreshments, proceeds to Dementia Forward. Tickets from Geoff Scurrah on 01423 509889 or Pauline Robson on 01423 772425.
