A successful term for us once again at Messy Church and the leadership team is delighted with the response from our families to our efforts. As far as possible we like to show our community what is happening at Harlow Hill – our ‘love your neighbour theme’, involved our children acting out the role of bandits in the church garden to tell the story of the Good Samaritan, and caused a few raised eyebrows and showed that we are doing things!
Our theme for June on ‘loving our world’ was one our families readily engaged with and all departed bearing balloons showing ‘the world’ – a visual eye-catcher! To finish off our year the annual summer picnic was held on the Harlow Hill field and once again we were blessed with a gorgeous sunny afternoon. The tent was up, the bunting up and provided us with another chance to share our fellowship time together.
We are looking forward very much to welcoming Moses to our Messy Church when he joins us in September and I am indeed blessed with a committed leadership team full of enthusiasm and energy.
