ONE Opportunity

‘Modelled on the York and Hull ‘microYPS’ experience, ONE Opportunity is a circuit and district-based discipleship scheme for young people supported by the Regional Forums of the Methodist Discipleship & Ministries Learning Network (DMLN).

ONE Opportunity offers a young person (aged 16-23 years) a 3-hour paid role for one year to enable them to participate in and develop a project using their gifts and talents within their own church or circuit to help in its life and mission.

They then meet with the other ONE Opportunity workers in their district/region for three residential weekends in the year for learning, reflection and discipleship activities as well as fun and friendship.’

Open the Book

“Open the Book” offers a programme of themed and dramatised Bible stories at no charge to schools.  Teams of volunteer storytellers use drama, mime, props, costume – even the children and staff themselves – to present Bible stories in ways that are lively, engaging, informative … and great fun for everyone involved! Bilton Area and Trinity want to launch ‘Open the book’ at one of their local primary schools.

Volunteers welcome to work alongside Bilton and do a local school each. They will be doing two a term to begin with + practice. If interested please speak to Lynda Dale.
