Sunday School

Children at Woodlands Methodist Church have a crèche for under 4’s, Sunday school for 4 to 15 year olds.

Sunday school meets weekly from 10.30 to 11.30.

Our children attend the first part of the service (about 20 minutes) then continue in the Sunday school with age related activities. The children enjoy participating in singing, crafts and drama as well as Bible based sessions. We join with other churches each year to take part in fun sessions based on Bible stories.

In the summer we have a family Sunday school outing to the beach or other attractions. At Christmas we take part in a Nativity service and also carol singing in the local area.

In church children enjoy taking part in special services and make their own regular contribution organising the weekly collection and doing readings.

Our congregation regards the Sunday school as a very important part of the church community.

We look forward to meeting you and your children. for more details please contact any of the church stewards.

The Dale Singers sang Haydn’s ‘Creation’ at the opening of Woodlands Methodist Church in 1964. They are a mixed voice choir with a repertoire ranging from sacred music to opera, and they meet each Monday at Woodlands Methodist Church Hall at 7.45pm.
