Our regular coffee mornings normally, held on the last Saturday of the month, have been well attended, particularly the one at the end of May which we held jointly with our friends from St Thomas in aid of Christian Aid.
There is no coffee morning at the end of September as we are open on the Sunday afternoon of our Harvest Weekend. We are looking forward to hearing our new minister (Rev. Grace Cauldwell) preach at our morning service and Rev. Christine Gillespie at our evening service. We have invited ‘Village Voices’ to entertain us at our Harvest Supper on the Monday evening.
We said our farewells to Roberta at Killinghall with a Junior Church Anniversary Service. The children were rainbow people and reminded us that if we tried to be friends with each other and shared our resources we would create a much better world in which to live. It was a very interesting service and the children were a credit to the Junior Church staff (and of course the parents). We are privileged at Killinghall to still have young people attending - long may it continue.
As mentioned in the last newsletter we are holding a Fashion Show on 7 September at 7.30pm. Tickets will be on sale around the middle of August. We would love to see you there. If you require a ticket please contact one of the Church Stewards.
