Latest News at Kearby

A baptism at Kearby is a rare and special occasion, the last one being almost three years ago. On Sunday 6 August, we were pleased to have baby Phoebe Jade Kelly Godley baptised by our own minister, Rev. Gail Hunt. The baby behaved perfectly with not a murmur from her, and the service was attended by over seventy people. It was a thrill to have almost all the seats in the chapel taken, including those in the gallery.

Over recent months the monthly circuit hymn singing event has had more support. Following our afternoon service at 3pm we have a cup of tea and then sing our favourite hymns for about an hour. It is always informal, with hymn choices being made spontaneously. If you enjoy singing hymns do come and join us at Kearby on the following dates: 15 October and 19 November.  Please note that in September it will be held at Scotton following the harvest service which starts at 6.30 pm.

The harvest festival services at Kearby will be held on Sunday 1 October at 3pm when the preacher will be our minister, Rev. Gail Hunt. On Monday2 October at 7pm the preacher will be Matthew Lunn.  Following the service on Monday evening refreshments will be served and the produce will be auctioned.
