Our Chapel is situated in lovely Lower Nidderdale. We have an up to date building offering a ramp access and have facilities for disabled people inside.
Minister: Rev. Roberta Topham
10.45 am and 6.30 pm (evening worship is shared alternate weeks with our friends at Killinghall Chapel unless there is a circuit service – see plan for venue, dates and times).
We hold monthly coffee mornings on the first Saturday in the month from 10.30 to 12.00. These attract members of other churches and people from the village. Our home made cake stall proves very popular.
We have a covenant with our Anglican friends at St Thomas’ church. They share our Covenant service with us in the chapel each January. We also share in the Remembrance Service in November which is held at St Thomas’. Jointly we offer ‘welcome bags’ to any new people who come to live in the village.
A ‘come and see’ service takes place annually when we invite and welcome people we know to join is in our worship and is due to take place at Harvest this year.
A quiz takes place annually in the autumn and is well attended by teams from other churches, friends and people from the village. If you can’t get a team of four together just come along and make up a team with others – a good way of making new friends. ‘A fun evening open to all’.
The third Wednesday in the month is our Network meeting beginning at 2.30 and lasting until about 4.00 pm. Various speakers and ‘hands on’ crafts are arranged. Bookings Our chapel is in a lovely part of the Yorkshire Dales, so we take bookings for coach parties, offering light lunches or high teas. We also take bookings for quiet and away days and day conferences.
