It's the summertime, but most importantly that means that our amazing volunteers (and me), get a break for a few weeks; but before that I’ll catch you up on what’s been happening in the last few weeks and months....
Since last September I have been doing Rock Solid at St Aidan's for Year 9s, and from this September I'll be working with the Year 10s on Thursdays. Feel free to mention this to any Years 10s you have in your Churches or groups.
From September this year, Bilton Area will have three youth groups; Ultimate (for Years 5 & 6), Energize (for Years 7, 8 and 9) and Youth Cell (more Bible based for Years 7, 8 and 9). I have added a dropbox link to the end of this article with the posters for all three.
We have been sending out publicity to try and recruit volunteers for gsYOUth, and also included in the dropbox link. We are desperate for volunteers, and any help would much appreciated.
I am so incredibly excited for Woodlands Community Garden!! If you haven't been to see it, you need to. The pizza oven is very nearly operational, and when it is we will definitely be using it ... even in the winter!
Our young people at Gracious Street managed to raise £50 for Dementia Forward through a cake sale. They also managed to demolish the leftovers…
We are still trying to recruit our young people for Marrick Priory in October.
We also want to thank Bill Craven for all he's done for Pannal YPG as he steps aside after running it for a considerable time. We thank him for everything and congratulate him on all the young people who he has nurtured in his time with YPG.
We are super sad to say goodbye to Rev. Nick and we send him all our love and prayers as he moves on and we hope his new Circuit know how lucky they are.
